Anticorruption Gateway™ — Report Corruption Anonymously in South Africa Anticorruption Gateway™ is South Africa's confidential, POPIA-compliant platform to report corruption anonymously. To use the secure reporting wizard, please enable JavaScript in your browser.
What you can report Bribery, fraud, procurement irregularities, tender manipulation, kickbacks, theft and misappropriation, conflicts of interest, abuse of authority, environmental crimes, harassment, retaliation against whistleblowers, and other misconduct — across 12 top-level allegation categories and 81 sub-categories.
How the platform protects whistleblowers No login. No tracking. Your IP address is never recorded. EXIF and GPS metadata are stripped from every uploaded file before it reaches storage. All data is encrypted end-to-end (TLS 1.3) using an SSL certificate issued by Google Trust Services. Your report is stored on servers in Johannesburg, South Africa — the platform refuses to boot from any other region.
Legal protection under South African law Whistleblower protections in South Africa are anchored in the Protected Disclosures Act (Act 26 of 2000) and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA, Act 4 of 2013). The Anticorruption Gateway™ adds technical anonymity on top of the statutory legal protection.
Report in five languages Whistleblowers can type or dictate a voice note in English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa or Sesotho. The platform transcribes and auto-translates every report into English for investigators while preserving the original mother-tongue audio and text for the evidence bundle.
Verify an evidence bundle Every evidence bundle we issue carries a deterministic SHA-256 fingerprint and a scannable QR. Anyone holding the printed cover sheet can confirm the document is real, untampered, and issued by us — in under ten seconds, with no special tooling.
